MEN IN THE CHURCH

Men's Breakfast: The men meet the first Sunday of October – June for breakfast and fellowship. They actively sponsor various projects in the life of the church.

 

Boy Scouts - Troop 404: Chartered in 1997, the Back Creek Boy Scout Troop meets on Thusday at 7:00 PM, and has a monthly hike or camp-out. The two primary goals for the troop are: a) To advance boys to the rank of Eagle. b) To live out the principles in the Scout Oath and the Scout Law 

 

WOMEN IN THE CHURCH

The purpose of the Women in the Church (WIC) is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world.  Every woman who is a member of Back Creek is a member of WIC. The women meet quarterly.

 

Circles: There are two circles that meet monthly for study and fellowship:

           Emma Goodman                                2nd Monday pm

            Catherine Barr Andrew                     1st Tuesday pm

 

WIC Council:  The WIC Council is composed of officers, committee and circle chairmen. Their purpose of the WIC Council is to coordinate the work and activities of the women so that their efforts will complement and support the overall plans of the local church.  

 

Bible Study: There is a Ladies’ Bible study that meets periodically through the year. Please contact the Church office for times.

 

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Sunday School:  Sunday School meets from 10:00 -10:45 for all ages. Children's classes use Great Commission Publication literature, while Adult classes vary in approach & content.  Adult classes are: Homebuilders, Westminster, Fellowship, Session House and Young Adult Class. A nursery class is provided for our little ones to learn God's Word.  

 

Vacation Bible School:  Each summer Back Creek sponsors VBS for all ages, usually in mid-June or July. Lots of participation and creativity have made our VBS an exciting week. For information please contact the Church office. 

 

CHILDREN AND YOUTH 

Children’s Choir: Children K - 5th participate in the Children's Choir. They occasionally sing in the worship service and present the annual "Singing Christmas Tree." This choir does not practice on a regular basis but only when they are preparing for special music.

 

Youth: The Junior and Senior High youth meet on Sunday evenings for study and fellowship. They participate in service projects, retreats and local outreach ministries throughout the year.

 

Sunday Youth Dinners: Once a month, January through June, a meal is held after church; donations for the meal help finance our youth ministries.
